Recognizing that some of the folks enrolled in Kalix programs are vulnerable because of underlying health conditions, we are attempting to minimize exposure to COVID-19 by taking the following actions. Kalix Recycling Center Downsizes Recycling Operations

Minot, North Dakota –December 20, 2019 – Effective February 2020, the only products accepted and processed at the Kalix Recycling Center will be confidential documents and mixed office paper. Kalix will continue picking up confidential documents, public drop-off events will be scheduled occasionally, and drop-off may be arranged by calling 855-909-9729. Employee Spotlight November 2019

The CQL workgroup set very ambitious goals designed to improve processes and services for people enrolled in Kalix programs. Every team member has been actively working on one of more sub-groups on each of the initiatives (using the discovery process in planning meetings, goal training and monitoring, POM training and monitoring, staff training initiatives, etc.), meeting regularly to report on progress and implementation. Each initiative is already having an impact, and will continue to strengthen our performance as an agency. Thanks to each team member for committing your time and energy to this project!

Team Spotlight October 2019

Congrats to October's Team Spotlight- Ashleigh, Rhonda, and Mickie for facilitating a volunteer effort at the Hostfest. A fellow volunteer noted that she appreciated the support and encouragement from the team, which made it a great experience!

Household Hazardous Waste Collection in Minot

The City of Minot will be collecting hazardous waste and E-waste on May 17 and 18 at the Public Works Building. The collection will include: desktop and laptop computers, printers, televisions, media players, cell phones, tablets, old batteries, and other electronics, paint, stains, varnishes, solvents, oil, pesticides, herbicides, and car care products.
