Exemplifying the Kalix Mission

Mason Schmidt, 1101

Arrangements were made for three volunteers to work with the tenants at 1101 for two hours putting up decorations.  Mason subtly modeled appropriate interactions with people, keeping the conversation going, until the volunteers were able to imitate his manner and connect with the tenants.  The rest of the staff joined in, resulting in a positive experience for all.  The volunteers later reported that they enjoyed getting to know people during the event.
